Both are in excellent vintage used condition!
One is a Lortone Exact Spand Expandable Rubber Lapidary Drum, Model EXB3. The 2nd one is missing the label so I don't have any additional info on it other than it is made of a heavier metal. The Lortone weighs only 14 oz. The other one weighs 2 lbs 5.5 oz. There is about a 1/8" difference in width between the two.

These drums are used in lapidary work, specifically for grinding and polishing stones or other materials when used with a rock tumbler.
Features:
It's an expandable rubber drum designed to hold abrasives or polishing compounds.
Expandable Design: The drum is made of heavy rubber with angled expansion slots, allowing it to expand during rotation to securely hold sanding or polishing belts in place. This expansion also ensures a true-running operation with minimal wobble.
Versatile Applications: While primarily used in lapidary for shaping and polishing gemstones, it is also effective for metalworking tasks like sprue removal and contour sanding.
Easy Belt Changes: Belts can be quickly and easily changed by stopping the machine, removing the old belt, and sliding on a new one.
Material Compatibility: Designed to work with various abrasive belts, including silicon carbide belts and sanding belts.
Flexibility and Contouring: The resilient rubber surface flexes to conform to the contours of the material being worked on, efficiently removing grinding flats and scratches to achieve a smooth finish.
