Great book featuring the proposals, plans, for installations, sculpture, mixed media and other works of art dealing with technology and sponsored by business and corporations. Each work was designed for specifically for this project.
Over 230 black and white illustrations of works by over 60 artists. Illustrations of photographs of the finished works, plans, drawings, artist statements, preparatory sketches. Several pages are devoted to each artist and the planned work for the LA County Museum Program. Illustrated artists include: Robert Rauschenberg, Claes Oldenburg, Sam Francis, Jean Dubuffet, James Turrell, John Chamberlain, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jules Olitski, R B Kitaj, Richard Serra, Tony Smith, Eduardo Paolozzi, and other artists. Published by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 1971.
Softcover in good condition. No marks or tears. Shelf wear, creasing and rubbing on cover. Age toning. pages. Measures 10 by 14 inches. Interesting book / museum publication, very nicely illustrated.
