Because of local interest in our recipes and party menus, adie and I would like to present some of our food ideas for your use when “Company’s Comin”.” But first, may we introduce ourselves? This is Sadie Gregory, who is responsible for some of the most delicious party food ever eaten in the Columbia, Missouri area. Sadie and her husband, George, have been doin’ parties here for twenty-five years, and their presence alone will guarantee instant success. As for me, I am George Anna McKenzie; have done some catering with my dear friend Carolyn Evans (Mrs James), who now lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Condition: Very Good, and I checked EVERY page to enter all the names! (I include ALL names in ALL fundraiser-type cookbooks because I know how frustrating it is to hope and wonder if specific contributors are included in a book, only to find out they’re not, upon receipt.) Pages and covers are clean, tight to plastic spiral binding, no tears or chips, all pages intact, no defective spirals. The only writing is penned inside front cover (see image), an inscription to Carol Tarwater, signed by Sadie Gregory June 20, 1973 and below that, “Have fun in the kitchen with our little book - I wish you could have been here today.” signed by George Anna McKenzie. Little to no wear of cover edges/corners, just a small rub mark on the raised lettering “n and s” in the word Company’s on front cover. Title page, upper right edge area, has a stamped price, I assume from publisher (see image). This is an absolutely exceptional cookbook, and, when all else is so very good, I only wish this, and others, cookbook’s binding spirals were larger ... why DO they cram so many pages within that results in more-difficult-to-turn pages easier and safely AND also pulls covers so tightly that the inside pages are exposed?! Any shadow is from copier and NOT on items. Books are NOT from smoke-free or pet-free environment. Email with questions or requests. These books/items are not new unless specified new … they are retro or vintage, and some may come with wear and/or smells. I go to extremes, perhaps, detailing each item attributes and flaws, if any. And I especially include SMOKE and PET clauses in all descriptions, so please don't email me asking if it smells of smoke because you may be able to smell better than I do.
