You are buying a pre-viewed, ORIGINAL VHS video, The Three Stooges How High Is Up?
This classic Columbia Pictures video collects three (irony for ya!) shorts from possibly the most famous film trio of all time, The Three Stooges.
In addition to the title short, which features The Stooges driving a mobile "fix-it" truck, this tape features two more shorts and trivia about each short.
In How High Is Up?, The Stooges are operating a mobile "fix-it" truck, but give up their "self-employment" to secure "gainful" (for The Stooges) employment as construction workers. What The Stooges don't know is that the job is for high-rise construction. So, they find themselves "top floor first", and are on the 97th floor of the high-rise!
Besides the obvious problem of having absolutely no experience in construction, there's the other problem of The Stooges being afraid of heights!
But that's not all! We lead off this collection with Half-Wits Holiday, which would later be remade with Joe Besser later on (as Pies & Guys). However, this one features Curly in his final appearance as one of The Stooges.
Two professors, Professor Sedletz (Ted Lorch) & Professor Quackenbush (Vernon Dent) argue about whether environment or heredity is responsible for behaviour. Unable to agree, the two agree on a bet: if, by environment, Professor Quackenbush can turn someone from the lowest depths of society into a gentleman within 60 days, Professor Sedletz will agree to pay Professor Quackenbush $1000.
The two professors agreed that the subject of the wager will be the three plumbers that showed up at their mansion to work. After a quick quiz by the two professors, they quickly concur that The Three Stooges will be perfect subjects for the social experiment.
Bringing The Stooges back to his residence, he quickly sets to work, and in sixty days, he displays his results to the public!
The third and final feature is Horses' Collars (to complete the trio of shorts that begin with the letter "H"!)
The Three Stooges were always ahead of their time when it came to parodies of other genres, from Moe's impersonation of Hitler (You Nazty Spy!) to this Western spoof.
In Horses' Collars, The Stooges depict dutiful detectives who are directed to dispatch a document from the dastardly Double Deal Decker to save a damsel in distress!
