" Who says you can't fight city hall? Featuring Timothy Hutton, Robert Urich, Darren McGavin and Peter Boyle, TURK 182 mixes comedy with drama in this story of a young man battling an indifferent system - not with violence but with wit and words. Jimmy Lynch (Hutton) is best friends with his older brother, Terry, a city fireman. He's concerned when Terry is seriously injured while rescuing a child from a burning building. But Jimmy gets even more upset by the city bureaucracy, which responds with cruel indifferece to Terry's situation. When Jimmy, seeks help for his brother, he is personally rebuffed by the mayor (Culp). He decides to take his cause out to the streets in an all-out campaign to make those at the top sit up, take notice, and respond.
Highlighted by dazzling New York loacles including a spectacular finale where Jimmy spells 'Turk 182' in giant 20 foot electric letters across the 59th Street Bridge, it's a movie that will have you cheering.
