The house on Cherry Street stood high on a hill, hidden by tall, whispery trees, surrounded by shadows.  It was a rambling old place, a decaying mansion -- and it was watching us.  Something was there in the house, waiting.  Something no longer alive . . .

Jason's parents have been called away suddenly and a babysitter is staying with him and his little sister, Sally.  The house on Cherry Street is very unhappy with this arrangement.  The house doesn't like babysitters.  It doesn't like children, either.

Jason thought he had made peace with the evil spirits that rule the house.  But he was wrong.  The horror has just begun.  And who's going to protect Jason and Sally when the babysitter's . . . gone?

Condition:  Used.  Paperback.  Edges show wear, tear, creases.  Covers and spine have creases.  Back cover has a layer of cover ripped off at the bottom that goes across an inch of spine at the bottom.  There's a half-inch hole ripped in the bottom of the back cover.  There's a small tear the top edge of the back cover. Pages are darkened by age.  Previous owner's name is on the short title page.  Binding is starting to split in places, but pages seem to be in tact.
